WAVE Educational Fund

WAVE Educational Fund is a non-profit, statewide organization dedicated to preventing gun violence, injuries and deaths. WAVE Educational Fund views gun violence as a multi-faceted problem that requires a multi-disciplinary solution, including key components arising from the areas of public health, consumer product safety, and law enforcement.

Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort (WAVE), founded in 1995, began as a wholly volunteer, grassroots organization. By the time it incorporated in 1997, WAVE Educational Fund was already known statewide as a credible source of information regarding gun violence and gun violence prevention. The process of building a strong and professional organization began in earnest in 2000, and now Wisconsin Anti-Violence Effort Educational Fund is viewed as the one viable, statewide organization with a proven track record in addressing the issue of gun violence.

We are proud of all of our accomplishments, particularly: forming an active gun violence prevention coalition; serving as the leading voice for gun violence prevention in the media; producing and distributing educational materials; and leading successful public policy campaigns.
